About
👋 Hello! I’m Miguel, a software engineer with a passion for bringing hardware to life. My journey into electronics began at a hackathon, where I built a “call-box” using a Particle Photon, OLED screen, and various input components. This device addresses the critical issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women, providing both emergency contact information and incident reporting capabilities.
Inspired by Mohit Bhoite’s Boxy sculpture, I ventured into the world of free-form hardware art. Through careful study and experimentation, I created my own interpretation named Marvin. Each piece is a unique puzzle where functionality meets aesthetics – every connection must serve both form and purpose while harmonizing with the whole.
I‘ve discovered that photography adds another dimension to my work. Through the lens, I capture these creations in their “natural habitat,” giving each project its own character and story. These images reveal the personality hidden within the circuits and wires, transforming technical projects into living art.
I’m always eager to connect with fellow makers, tinkerers, and curious minds. Whether you’re interested in hardware projects, creative coding, or the intersection of technology and art, let’s start a conversation.
